The Annual Motherlode Art and Wine Festival, sponsored by Tallahan’s and which benefits the Calaveras Humane Society was held on August 15th. The 2009 event was the most successful to date of the four year old festival. We would like to thank all who participated and stopped by to sample wine from local wineries and patronize local artists.
On Wednesday, August 26, an enthusiastic group gathered on the deck for a Wine Maker’s Dinner featuring Frog’s Tooth Vineyard. The food and wines were outstanding, Winemaker Gary Grant provided information on each wine as it was being served, while Chef Tony Fabbro described each dish. Wine Maker’s Dinners are a regular feature at Tallahan’s, so check the upcoming newsletters to see when our next Wine Makers Dinner is scheduled, they are always a blast!
